Java 9 is scheduled for GA in July 2017, what changes will it bring? what will be the impact?

The biggest change in Java9 is the new module system what are the implication? What will not work anymore? What are the work around?

Beside this big ticket item, there are a few other changes that are worth mentioning like JShell, Compact Strings, Spin Wait Hints, AOT and Stack walking API.
